Barb Vollmer

Associate vice president of administrative services
Boys Town

In a career at Alliance member Boys Town that spans 23 years, Vollmer has held numerous direct service and leadership positions within the organization. Over the last decade she was a clinical director, managing 75 staff and 160 delinquent youth at any given time. She also served as director of the internal program audit department, providing independent oversight to Boys Town’s system of care in programs that range from In-Home Family Services to Intensive Residential Treatment in more than a dozen states.

In 2007, Boys Town embarked on a national strategic plan, calling for significant changes in priorities and direction within programs affecting nearly 13,000 youth annually in 12 states around the country. Vollmer served as the strategic plan implementation manager for the first year of plan implementation in order to provide oversight of implementation across health care and youth care, track progress, identify barriers, and communicate progress to senior leadership and the board of trustees. While continuing in the role of strategic plan implementation oversight, Vollmer now serves as associate vice president of administrative services for youth care.
