
Frumer, associate executive director at Alliance member Alpert Jewish Family & Children's Service (AJFCS), in West Palm Beach, Fla., has worked in nonprofit social services for more than 27 years. Frumer oversees many of the contracts and grants at AJFCS and has designed and implemented many of the organization’s innovative programs for older adults and people with disabilities.
Frumer has taught graduate courses in gerontology and administration and is faculty at the University of Miami, where she recently assisted in the development of an online Healthcare Advocacy Certificate program. For six years, Frumer chaired a committee at the Treasure Coast Area Agency on Aging, which provided oversight of a grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service.
She currently serves on the ASA Membership Committee and on the Annual Conference Program Committee of the Florida Council on Aging. She presents extensively both nationally and internationally on a number of topics related to nonprofit administration and older adult family issues and services.
